1 year ago today
How are the holidays suddenly upon us?
I feel as if I say this every year - the time is just FLYING by. But this year in particular has felt incredibly quick while simultaneously feeling as if it’s been eons long. Does anyone else feel the same? Maybe there was a glitch in the matrix.
In classic pre-thanksgiving fashion, I find myself reminiscing on what this past year has brought. Without getting too sentimental, I want to make a point of how transformative a single course of four seasons can be.
This time last year, I was treating patients out of my spare guest room upstairs. I was working 40+ hours a week at an outpatient job and seeing more patients in a day than I could keep track of.
Rehab With Roni was nothing more than an instagram handle and a shiny new LLC according to the state of Tennessee. I had 400 followers on social media and was mulling over the idea of partnering with a local gym to see patients in a more professional setting.
Here, 365 days later, all of this has changed.
Rehab With Roni just celebrated her busiest month since opening inside that very same gym. I saw four patients today, and loved every minute of it. My online presence has become another side business of its own. I’ve been guested on podcasts, met hundreds of local Chattanoogans, and started to build a name for myself as the owner of a small biz.
I also rescued a super cute puppy. As if life couldn’t get any sweeter.
I hope this serves as a reminder that hard work does pay off. I’m painfully aware that from the bird’s-eye-view it looks as though all these wonderful life changes just happened all at once. But sometimes (more often than not) you sow your seeds for literal years before reaping anything of substance.
Hopefully, this Thanksgiving, you get the opportunity to celebrate whatever wins you’ve won this year. I wouldn’t be here writing this fun little excerpt if it weren’t for each of you - so thank you.
Love Roni
